Pieta House, Preventing Suicide and Self Harm - Dublin 5.77

Pieta House was established in Lucan, Co. Dublin in 2006 as the centre for the prevention of suicide and self-harm. Since that time, we have opened centres across the country, and over 27,000 clients have come through our doors.

Today, Pieta House employs over 240 people, the majority of which are therapists and clinical support staff. In 2016, Pieta House stepped in to provide the suicide bereavement services that had formerly been offered by Console.

All of the services provided by Pieta House are free of charge, and no medical referral is required. Our staff are fully qualified and provide a professional, one-to-one therapeutic service for people who are self-harming, are experiencing suicidal ideation, or have been bereaved by suicide.

The majority of our income comes from fundraising and donations, and we could not do our life-saving work without the help of our volunteers, supporters, and friends.
